Creative Block Contest

The Basics

  • Bring your 18"x18" square block into any Len's Mill location or upload a clear, high quality picture of your creative 18" square block here, along with your full name, phone number, email address (if available), your local Len's Mill Store, a brief description of your project, materials and inspiration, and whether you would like your project returned or donated after the contest (not required for online submissions).
  • Your square can be quilted, painted, crocheted, knitted, embroidered, needle-crafted, rug hooked, sculpted from clay, or created using any other artistic medium. Entries may be flat or three-dimensional but must be suitable for secure wall mounting and must not exceed 18" x 18".  Entries submitted online will be printed for inclusion in the contest display.
  • All submissions will be combined into a large creative-block display in our Cambridge location, and posted online for voting.  The entry receiving the most votes will win the grand prize, and the entry with the second-most votes will receive the runner-up prize.
  • Contest opens November 1, 2026. Entry deadline is December 11, 2026.  Voting will take place December 14-31, 2026.  Winners will be announced January 2nd, 2027.
  • First place winner receives $1000, runner up receives $500, and honourable mentions receive $50 in Len's Mill gift cards
  • Entrants donating their block will receive a $10 Len's Mill gift card and have their block displayed at one of our store locations.  Entrants wishing to have their block returned will be able to pick up the block at the location where it was submitted beginning in February 2027

Rules & Regulations

Contest Entry:

To enter the Len's Mill Creative Block Contest, fill out the form above with all the information required, or bring in your square to any Len's Mill location. If you cannot see the form on this page, you may email an image of your creative block along with your name to lensmill@lensmill.com. Len's Mill Stores may contact you to verify the details of your submission. Missing information may lead to disqualification from the contest.

Len's Mill Stores Contest is open to all Canadian residents of any age. We will only accept one contest entry per person. Missing information upon contest entry may result in disqualification from the contest.

We will be accepting submissions to this contest up until 11:59pm November 30th, 2026. All submitted entries be posted to our website and on display in our Cambridge location in early December for voting. At the end of the contest, the results are tallied and the project with the most votes is the winner. Only one vote per device, or one vote per person in store, is allowed during the voting period. Multiple votes from the same device will be taken out of voting consideration.

Employees of Len's Mill Stores are not eligible to enter any Len's Mill Store contest.

Prize:

Prize for Contest winner is $1000. Prizes shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged or refunded for an amount of money, sold or transferred.

The winner is notified via phone or email to verify their information. If the information is accurate, an announcement of the winning project will be made on Len's Mill Stores website and Facebook page. By submitting a project to this contest, you consent to an image of it being used for any purpose Len's Mill Stores sees fit.

Photo ID is required to claim the prize. If the selected winner cannot meet these requirements, or declines the prize, the prize shall be awarded to the entry with the second-highest amount of votes. At any time, the prize may be forfeited and Len's Mill Stores has the right, at it's sole discretion, to select another winner.

The winner is required to pick up the prize at the Len's Mill Store location of choice. The prize must be picked up within 30 days or it shall be forfeited and Len's Mill Store has the right, at its sole discretion to select another winner.

Refusal to accept the prize releases Len's Mill Stores from any obligation to the winner.

If the contestant makes any false statement, he/she will be automatically disqualified.

By accepting the prize, the contestant declares their eligibility as stipulated in these rules; and releases Len's Mill Store and their directors, officers and employees from all liability for any damage of loss arising from the participation in the contest or from awarding, acceptance, or use of the prize.

Privacy Policy:

Potential winners may be required to provide proof of identification. Winners agree that Len's Mill Stores may use their name or image for advertising purposes related to the contest free of charge.

All personal information, such as name and contact information, required to enter the Len's Mill Store Contest is collected by Len's Mill Stores solely for the purposes of administering the contest and shall not be used for any other purpose without your consent. By providing this information, you consent to it being used for the stated purposes. Len’s Mill Stores will not use your personal information for purposes other than to determine Contest results and to communicate with you regarding the Contest. Should you choose to opt in to our mailing list, your email address and name will be stored for this purpose.

Legal:

Len's Mill Stores assumes no liability for any loss, damage or injury including without limitation: (i) lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, destroyed, illegible or incomplete entries, (ii) inability of any person to participate in the Contest for any reason, (iii) any injury, damage or loss arising from the participation in the Len's Mill Store contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of any prize, or (iv) prizes that are lost, damaged or misdirected during shipping.

Len's Mill Stores reserves the right to deny entry to a contestant at its own discretion; to cancel, suspend, or terminate the Creative Contest at any time; appoint winner upon our discretion; and the right to amend the contest rules without any liability to the contestant.

Len's Mill Store contests are not sponsored, endorsed by or administered by Facebook, Twitter or any other Third Party Service. By entering any Len's Mill Stores contest, all contestants release all Third Party Services from any liability.

The decisions of Len's Mill Stores with respect to any dispute, rule, or issue involving a Len's Mill Store contest are final and binding on all contestants.

Len's Mill Stores and its Creative Contest ("Contest") follows all Federal Regulations and Provincial Legislations and National Regulations, including, but not limited to (i) Criminal Code (ii) Competition Act (iii) Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (iv) PIPEDA (v) Privacy Act (vi) Consumer Protection Act.

By entering a Len's Mill Store contest, you agree to be bound by these Contest Rules.
